About EBB
Seven years ago EBB was providing interim bookkeeping services to a number of small businesses and non-profits on Nantucket Isand in Massachusetts. As clients began to hire permanent bookkeeping staff, they requested that new employees be trained by EBB. To deliver a cost effective and practical solution to individual small businesses and non-profits, Christina LeBlanc, founder of EBB, developed a bookkeeping course which she taught at the Nantucket Community School. Thus far, a total of 163 students have taken the course, 61 are currently working in the field.
EBB’s major competitive strength is the comprehensive nature of the program: training which includes real world case studies that guide students through challenging actual small business problems, job placement, consulting and an online community wiki. Membership numbers are driven by EBB’s ability to help bookkeepers navigate the changing business landscape of their industry and advance their careers. EBB provides a local and online community that standardizes training and supplies bookkeepers with the tools they will need to keep up with ever present technology innovations and add value to the small businesses they serve.
EBB continues to provide bookkeeper training and consulting services to small businesses and non-profits. EBB’s bookkeeping activities are now aimed at financial restructuring: set ups and clean ups. Permanent residual bookkeeping work is posted for placement with an independent EBB member bookkeeper.
