Set Ups and Clean Ups
- Set Up/Clean Up Chart of Accounts
- Post fixed assets, reconcile current asset accounts
- Clean up and reconcile historical accounts receivable records
- Set Up/Clean Up equity accounts
- Establish procedures for electronic/manual integration of subsidiary ledgers managed in other software programs: Point of Sale, E-Store, Database, Accounts Receivable Billing, Inventory, Fixed Asset Management, Time Tracking
- Establish procedures for payroll/human resources management: on paper/on-line
- Prepare insurance schedule
- Prepare fixed cost schedule
- Set up accounts receivable and accounts payable protocal, payroll submission procedures and report formats
- Organize and file paper records
Residual Bookkeeping
- Weekly: maintain paper files on or off site, maintain accounts receivable and payroll, process payroll
- Monthly: perform bank reconciliations for all cash accounts and loans, prepare and distribute financial reports and budgets, file and submit sales tax
- Annually: file annual report, prepare QuickBooks file for accountant review, enter adjusting entries prepared by accountant
